Pantellos is pleased to announce that a nationally respected leader in the field of supplier diversity has been named to its leadership team. With more than 30 years of energy industry experience, Don Tooker will serve Pantellos as director of supplier diversity and will work with utility customers to establish processes and infrastructure to bolster their minority- and women-owned business programs.
Don’s background includes 34 years at Shell Oil Company, where he held a variety of management positions in purchasing and administration. He also directed Shell’s Supplier Diversity Program for many years, leading the company to be a finalist for the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s Corporation of the Year award in 1998. Don has received many awards for his leadership, including Advocate of the Year and an Award of Distinction from the Houston Minority Business Council (HMBC), and Advocate of the Year from the Houston Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance.
He has also served as chairperson of the HMBC’s Buyer Advisory Group and the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s Petrochemical Industry Group.
